Our mission

We are committed to providing a high quality experience for every stakeholder – our customers, UF MBA alumni, the Gainesville community, and current MBA students.

Our aim is to offer Traditional UF MBA students the opportunity to manage a real business in an experiential learning environment outside of the classroom. Students will design products, craft marketing plans, purchase inventory, write financial plans, and create a superior customer experience for UF MBA Alumni, Executive, Internet, Professional and Traditional MBA students.

We also promise to conduct our business operations in a fashion that elevates the entire UF MBA brand. The Traditional MBA program is ranked 36th among all universities in the United States and ranked 15th among public universities. The Internet MBA program is the top distance-learning program in the nation according to The Economist and its Executive MBA program is 11th in the nation according to The Financial Times. We offer customers premium apparel and merchandise that will allow them to showcase both their school spirit and the UF MBA brand to enhance these rankings.

Finally, we promise to operate with integrity. Our policies, operations, and goals are shared openly with our clients and partners. When faced with difficult decisions we’re going to do what is right, even if it’s not convenient for us. We are part of the Gainesville community – not separate from it. As a result, we do what is best for our customers and what is best for our community.

Sarah Pearce

Originally from West Palm Beach, FL, Sarah is currently the CEO of Gator MBA Gear! Sarah is a "Double Gator" who received her B.S. in Management from UF in 2012. She has worked in Merchandising and Contract Sales for Office Depot, and recently spent her summer as a Supply Chain intern for AT&T. Sarah also loves to make cupcakes as a hobby/side job, which her team greatly appreciates! Sarah and her team strive to make this GMG’s best year yet!

Laura Gonzalez

Laura Gonzalez

Laura Gonzalez is originally from Colombia but has lived in the US for the last 7 years. She has a dual B.A.S in Biotechnology and Business Management. Laura recently interned with Johnson & Johnson in brand management and marketing is her passion! She is looking forward to making GMG better this year! 


VP of Finance

Preston Breder

Preston Breder is a Florida native, and was born and raised in Orlando. He studied accounting as an undergraduate and has worked for two public accounting firms. Preston is studying for the CPA exam while concentrating in Finance in the UF MBA program. He hopes to learn a lot from this experience, and add value to the organization for future leaders.


VP of Operations

Gabby Dionne

My name is Gabrièle Dionne, VP of Operations for GMG. Most recently from Tampa, FL and with a B.S. in Civil Engineering form USF, I worked in HVAC technical sales for three years before switching gears and pursuing an MBA and M.S. in Industrial Engineering at UF. Running the day-to-day operations of GMG is a fantastic way to give back to the UF MBA program and provides a great counterpoint to my other free-time “occupation” – creating art!


VP of Product Development

Catie Enright

Catie Enright was born in Naples, Fl and is the VP of Product Development for the GMG team! Prior to returning to school for her MBA she was an Assistant Buyer for Bealls Department Store. She is a double-gator, receiving her B.S. from UF in marketing with a minor in retail studies. She is always open for new product suggestions and comments so please do not hesitate to email and put "Attn: VP Product Development" in the subject. Go Gators!


VP of Sustainability and Communications

Kyle Crooke

Kyle Crooke, our VP of Communications, was born in Silver Springs, Maryland. He discovered his passions for change management, strategic planning, and corporate strategy by leveraging his multifaceted UF undergraduate studies against the unique demands of private equity real estate investment. He returns to UF for his MBA studies in Strategy and Corporate Finance. Kyle strives to improve GMG’s technological and informative infrastructure, with the end objective of optimizing all interdepartmental processes.


Director/AVP of Finance

Rod Alzmann

Originally from Long Island, Rod attended Binghamton University in New York, studying accounting and entrepreneurship. After spending the past six years working at Bank of America in Tampa he returned to school, joining the UF MBA program as an Option B in June 2016. He is passionate about making processes better and will use his experience to build on the financial reporting at GMG.


Director of Operations

Jenn Barkenhagen

Jenn is a military "brat" (child of military parents) and so she has lived many places in her life, but now calls Orlando home. She spent the last 6 years as an Active Duty Air Force Intelligence Officer, and is still serving as an Air Force Reservist. She is a double Gator with a B.A. in Political Science from UF and also has an M.A. in Intelligence Studies. Her only hobbies outside of studying are binge-watching TV with her dachshund Tucker and people-watching at Disney World. She is excited to be a part of such a great GMG team this year!


Director of Product Development

Randy Perez

¡HOLA! My name is Randy Perez, your Product Development Director this year. I was born in Cuba and grew-up in a small town with one major road, just wide enough to fit two small horse carriages. I boarded my 1st plane in November 2000 and landed in Miami 45 minutes later. I’m a proud Double-Gator with a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in the works. Before embarking on my MBA, I worked on large oil & gas developments in Qatar, Italy, and Indonesia. GO GATORS!


Director of Market Research and Analytics

Nick Yap

Nick Yap is originally from New Jersey and earned is undergrad degree in nuclear engineering at UF. He cofounded a social media app where he taught himself to code and discovered an interest in business. Now, he is pursuing his MBA to prepare him for a role in product development. His role in GMG as Director of Market Research and Analytics helps provide the team more insight into customer demand for GMG's products.


Director of E-commerce

Chris Perreault

Chris was born and raised in Huntsville, AL and attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University at Daytona Beach with an Army ROTC scholarship. After graduating with a bachelors in Homeland Security, Chris joined the Army as an Infantry officer where he served for 6 years in numerous locations, including Colorado, Georgia, Korea, and Afghanistan. Now Chris is in his first year at the UF MBA program with a focus in Strategy. Chris’s position on the GMG board is the Director of eCommerce.
